凹足寄居蟹學名C.cavipes，是一種廣泛分佈在西太平洋與印度洋的陸生寄居蟹。這個品種相較於其他品種更耐乾旱。
凹足陸寄居蟹體色呈黑褐色和茶褐色，較單純。幼體大致與大個體相同。
凹足寄居蟹棲息在較靠近內陸的樹林地區，除繁殖期以外很少在海岸附近發現其蹤跡。夜間常在叢林或岩石間覓食，為雜食性，以果實為主。為方便在內陸地區生活，它們通常寄居在非洲大蝸牛的殼中。
凹足寄居蟹的個性比較害羞，傾向典型的夜型性，經常躲入底材中，在夜間才出來活動。
