吻部尖且略微前突，體盤近圓形，背、臀鰭硬棘長而聳立，整體呈立三角形。秘魯神仙體色銀白，頭背部棕色，頭部有一條黑色棟線穿過眼睛，體側有兩道黑棟紋，在兩道棟紋中間的背鰭上有一細長形黑色三角斑，有時隱約會向下延伸出一小段暗棟（非常淺的紋路），但絕不明顯且絕不會延伸到腹部。另外，有相當一自部分秘魯神仙性成熟後體色會表現出噴點。
成體尺寸：13 釐米左右
