老虎小精靈有一定的領地意識，兩條同類相遇會一直爭鬥，但不至於傷害對方。不過老虎小精靈卻是真正的變色龍，在兩條魚爭奪領地的時候，會一直改變體色。尾鰭背鰭能從照片裏的顏色變成橙色/粉紅色等等，身體顏色也一會兒淡一會兒深。而且比起各種異形，它要活潑得多。不會一直躲著看不見。
