朱砂痣是景天科擬石蓮屬的多肉植物，據說是小紅衣和海琳娜的雜交品種，其葉片肥厚，呈長卵形，正面平整或略微內凹，葉背圓弧狀凸起，前端急尖，葉尖略向外翻，株型為標準蓮座形，整株覆蓋著一層薄薄的白霜，平常葉色為粉青色，在光照充足且溫差較大的環境下葉片會變成朱紅色，所以才得名為朱砂痣。
