海南韋氏鞭蛛是鞭蛛的其中一種。
鞭蛛是介乎於蜘蛛和蠍子之間的一個品種，融合了雙方的一些特點。無毒。如蛻皮次數就和蠍子一樣為6次7齡，但6齡即可繁殖；而分為頭胸部及腹部兩個部分又和蜘蛛是一樣的。
鞭蛛是夜行性的，白天隱蔽在木頭、樹皮、石塊和葉下,有的在洞穴中。一般喜潮濕的環境。
