鐵線蕨是在蕨類植物中栽培最普及的種類之一。莖葉秀麗多姿，形態優美，株型小巧，極適合小盆栽培和點綴山石盆景。
鐵線蕨白天適宜的生長溫度為21~25℃，夜間為12~15℃。只要溫度在5℃以上，葉片就會保持新綠，但低於5℃葉片會凍傷。
鐵線蕨喜歡散射光光，怕太陽直曬。在室內應放在光線明亮的地方也能正常生長。
