Tradescantia sillamontana is a perennial evergreen herbaceous plant of the genus Tradescantia. It is orginated from the State of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico.

The leaves are arranged in a precise geometric shape. The plants is furry because every part of the leaves are cover by hair including leaves, shoots and buds. These protect the plant from direct sunlight and excessive evaporation. Leaves are hairy and fleshy with greyish hair. The inflorences are bright purplish-pink to purple .
