紅武士活門蛛是一種習性相當特殊的蜘蛛，它們在地底築巢可深達一公尺，並在洞口處用土壤與絲線構築一個活動式的門蓋,洞 口附近佈置幾條蛛絲作為感應器，活板門蛛則在洞口門蓋下守株待兔，只要有獵物經過並觸動感應絲線，便會從洞口沖出將獵物拖進巢內，精准無比，而吃完之後會把殘骸丟到巢穴周圍。
