鯊魚齒捕蠅草不管是外觀還是生長習性都和齒狀捕蠅草類似，有著三角形的齒，葉柄粗壯，整株除夾子內側和夾子外緣外都呈綠色，夾子尺寸很容易就能長到3釐米以上，入冬後10度以下葉子開始匍匐地面生長，夾子內側也慢慢變成紅色。春天氣溫升高時便開始長出長長的葉柄，開始直立生長、開花。
