談到高端食人魚不得不提起黃金布蘭提。因其只能在極其有限的產地區域內采集到，所以系好難得一見的珍稀品種。佢嘅極具侵略性，膽子夠大，同人互動都幾積極。黃金布蘭提嘅身體主要系金色，也有一些個體全身偏向銀白色系或帶有棕黃色斑。
成魚體色較均勻，幼魚在身體兩側有許多隱紋斑點，尾鰭根部帶有煙熏色。身體黃銅色，鰭可能會表現出檸檬色。
目前記錄的最大體長為30cm，超過25cm的比較少見。性格兇猛且領地意識強，單缸飼養更佳。
