一直森流GreenFlow都受社福機構和不同學校邀請,帶領大大小小的朋友製作自己獨一無二嘅小森林。

儘管一般人覺得自己不算特別鍾意植物 🍀,但只要接觸,就會發現另一片新天地。

我問:大家你覺得剛剛製作過程會很悶嗎?大家都會答“好relax” 。

這就是植物嘅力量跟力量。

植物如何改善情緒?

  1. 接觸自然:研究顯示,僅僅10分鐘的自然接觸就能顯著降低壓力水平。這包括感受微風、陽光及周圍植物的存在。英國艾希特大學的Mathew White博士指出,置身於自然環境中能讓人感受到放鬆和愉悅
  2. 園藝活動:參與園藝活動被證明能減輕焦慮和抑鬱症狀。根據一項2022年的研究,無論是有經驗還是初學者,從事園藝都能有效促進心理健康,降低壓力和焦慮。這些活動使人們感受到成就感,並且透過照顧植物來獲得療癒效果。
  3. 視覺和嗅覺的刺激:植物的色彩和香氣也對情緒有直接影響。色彩鮮豔的花卉可以提升人的心情,而某些植物的香氣則有助於放鬆心情和減少焦慮
  4. 感受生命的奇妙:照顧植物的過程中,人們會感受到自己擁有撫育生命的能力,這種責任感能夠提升自我價值感。當植物茁壯成長時,這種成就感會進一步增強心理健康,在面對生活挑戰時,自然界中的植物生長循環(如春夏秋冬)能給人帶來希望和勇氣,幫助人們克服困難

GreenFlow has been invited by social welfare agencies and schools to lead friends of all ages in creating their own unique mini forests.

When we ask everyone how those two hours went, the answer is always, "So relaxing!" This is the power of plants:

  1. Contact with Nature: Research shows that just 10 minutes of exposure to nature can significantly lower stress levels. This includes feeling the breeze, sunlight, and the presence of surrounding plants. Dr. Mathew White from the University of Exeter points out that being in a natural environment can evoke feelings of relaxation and joy.
  2. Gardening Activities: Engaging in gardening has been proven to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression. According to a study conducted in 2022, whether experienced or novice, participating in gardening effectively promotes mental health by reducing stress and anxiety. These activities provide a sense of accomplishment and therapeutic benefits through caring for plants.
  3. Visual and Olfactory Stimulation: The colors and scents of plants also have a direct impact on emotions. Brightly colored flowers can uplift mood, while certain plant fragrances help relax the mind and reduce anxiety。
  4. Building up sense of capabilities: Caring for plants instills a sense of capability in nurturing life, enhancing self-worth. When plants thrive, this sense of achievement further boosts mental health. In facing life’s challenges, the growth cycles in nature (such as spring, summer, autumn, and winter) can bring hope and courage to help individuals overcome difficulties.
